Religious Education

Humanists believe that all pupils in all types of school should have the opportunity to consider philosophical and fundamental questions, and that in a pluralist society we should learn about each other’s beliefs, including humanist ones.

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) has repeatedly refused Humanist membership of their Religious Education council (SACRE).

WSCC launched their new RE syllabus last year. This makes only a token gesture towards including the views of the non-religious. Read more about it here.

Remembrance Sunday Campaign
