An Important note from the chair

Formal Crawley Interfaith Network (CIFN) began in June 2005. An Interfaith group had been in existence in Crawley since the mid 1980s.  CIFN has a Board of trustees. Currently there are seven trustees representing Christians, Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. We are seeking representation of Buddhism and Judaism which are currently not represented. It is supremely important to us that the board has a balanced representation of all Faiths in Crawley. Please contact us if you would like to represent your faith.

The trustees determine the policies and priorities and direct and manage the work of CIFN. The Network also has an Events Sub Committee that organises events and activities. This subcommittee is an integral part of the CIFN Development Committee that is primarily led by the trustees. The operational matters are a shared responsibility of us all as a Network. Our development worker is a key member of the development committee as well as of the operational team.  Please help us to make the Network more effective.

CIFN holds four Network meetings each year where developments of the past quarter are shared with the members.  Each meeting ends with a speaker or presentation from one of our faith groups.  Everyone welcome. Please join us. We need you to make a difference in Crawley (See our Aims and Objectives).

Crawley Borough Council (CBC,) as part of its responsibility for community Cohesion, has (through a service level agreement with CIFN), kindly provided funds for the employment of a development worker for two years. We are grateful to the CBC for its farsightedness.
